Our team at 123OLAP comprises many years of experience working in
the training arena. All of our instructors are consultants and are
some of the best and most experienced in the Hyperion field. They
combine those technical and business skills with the ability to interact
with students to make the class interesting and lively. Our developers
are also instructors and consultants. They apply that knowledge to
creating effective and useful manuals that can later be used as reference
materials. Exercises are designed to illustrate and highlight the
most important aspects of the products. Our Management Team is identified

Many of the trainers and our management go back to working at
the former FP&A Train. This company was sold to Hyperion in
2000. The Hyperion Essbase Bootcamp was developed by FP&A Train.
Our team at 123OLAP comprises many years of experience working in
the training arena. Our Management Team is identified below.
Rudy Zucca is a Hyperion Essbase Certified Professional™ and
a Hyperion Certified Instructor™. Having worked as a consultant
and trainer on Essbase since 1995, he has been exposed to a wide
range of analytical applications including planning/forecasting,
consolidation, statistical modeling. Rudy’s broad training
background includes most recently running a training company, FP&A
Train (now owned by Hyperion) focused on developing and deploying
practical applied training on Hyperion products to customers and
partners. His technical skills encompass all aspects of implementing
Essbase and some of the peripheral products: Analyzer, Integration
Services, Reporting, Excel VBA, and some third party tools. In addition
to his OLAP experience he comes from a relational background, having
worked with Oracle RDBMS and other products for Oracle. Rudy has
a BS in Electrical Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and
has completed many of the core MBA courses at Santa Clara University.

Carolyn started working with Essbase in the version 4 days when
she joined FP&A Train as their Training Manager. When FP&A
Train, the developer of the Essbase Bootcamp—Basic Training
curricula, was purchased by Hyperion, Carolyn joined the Hyperion
team first to transition FP&A Train into the Hyperion corporation,
and then to act as the Western Regional Education Manager. Carolyn
is committed to the business model in which training is delivered
by instructors who are not only experienced instructors but also
seasoned consultants. She is delighted to bring her passion for
Essbase and commitment to customer service to the 123OLAP team.

Marian Erikson is responsible for sales, scheduling and customer
satisfaction. Before joining 123OLAP, Marian spent 6 years at Hyperion
Solutions as a Professional Services Director and Strategic Account
Manager. She was responsible for hundreds of successful implementations
throughout her career with Hyperion. Prior to Hyperion, Marian was
a project manager and has over 15 years experience in the finance
and IT sectors. Marian received her Bachelor of Arts degree from
