This Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for EPM Applications course is designed to take data warehouse & business intelligence architects, consultants and engineers through the steps needed to integrate data from various sources into Hyperion applications. The class begins with a data integration overview and an introduction into the basic components and concepts of ODI. We then sequentially create the foundation for building integration processes which consists of connectivity to the various data sources via logical and physical layers, import definitions of tables, constraints, Hyperion applications and other elements containing stored data, and data quality rules. Next we examine the means to build integration processes to understand the usage of these components. This enables us to utilize the power and capabilities of ODI to build advanced integration solutions that are transparent, robust and easy to maintain. We finish by examining how to move data into, between and out of Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications and learning what can be accomplished and how to best do it.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to set up the required ODI foundation, create integration processes, monitor data quality and process execution, integrate data and metadata with Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications, and understand the design principles upon which ODI is based.
