This one-day course covers all of the essential techniques and
best practices of building and deploying Hyperion Financial Reporting (called Hyperion Reports in earlier versions). We cover the essential components
of reports including laying out and formatting reports, advanced
member selections, working with formulas, adding charts, and deploying
reports with books and batches. Our course finishes by addressing
management issues such as security, backing up Hyperion Financial Reporting,
and other administration topics.
Here is the course description for this 1 day class in detail:
Understanding Hyperion Financial Reporting architecture is the first step in
using the tool effectively. We start building reports from scratch
by laying out reports and modifying grid properties. Next, we cover
the essential elements of any report; formatting options, complex
member selections, and building asymmetric reports. We finish up the
section by introducing you to the web client interface.
Hyperion Financial Reporting has many capabilities beyond basic reports. Here
we explore some of the more advanced features; using report functions
embedded in textboxes, linking charts to grids, building reports
with multiple grids, applying formulas, conditional formatting,
auto-calculations, and more.
Once reports have been created, you need to know how to deploy them
throughout the organization. Specifically, in this section we cover
how to launch them by creating and formatting books. Next, we show
you the batching control to automate running reports and controlling
the output. We finish by reviewing security strategies, the batch
scheduler, and backup procedures.
